Psychology for adults
Sometimes you can feel stuck in your daily life. For example, because symptoms keep recurring or because an event has had such a profound impact that you continue to be affected by it. You may also find that thoughts, feelings or behaviour are getting in your way. Stress, changes at work or in your personal life, feeling overwhelmed or recurring patterns can make it harder to regain your balance.
We offer counselling, assessment and treatment for adults with psychological concerns and mental health issues. Together, we will explore what is going on, what factors are influencing your situation and what support best meets your needs.
What do we offer?
Within adult psychology, we offer short-term, symptom-focused psychological support. In doing so, we look not only at the symptoms themselves, but also at how they affect your day-to-day functioning, relationships, work, energy levels and quality of life.
A treatment programme may consist of diagnosis, treatment or a combination of both.
During an initial assessment and any necessary tests (diagnostics), for example, we assess:
- what symptoms or requests for help are involved;
- when symptoms first appeared and which factors influence them;
- which thoughts, feelings or patterns may perpetuate symptoms;
- how your symptoms affect your daily life;
- which form of support or treatment is most suitable.
Depending on your situation, our support may consist of consultations, diagnostics, psycho-education, treatment and practical support. The aim is to help you cope better with symptoms in your daily life.

Who is this offer intended for?
Adult psychology may be appropriate if you:
- find that you are feeling mentally or emotionally stuck;
- suffers from stress, tension or overwork;
- experiences symptoms such as low mood, anxiety or worrying;
- has difficulty coping with changes or major events;
- want to understand or break out of recurring patterns;
- notices that their symptoms are affecting their work, relationships or day-to-day functioning;
- if you have any questions about your mental health;
- seeking support to better cope with symptoms or challenges in everyday life.
What can you expect?
A programme usually begins with an initial consultation. During this consultation, we discuss your needs, symptoms and what you would like to change or achieve.
If further clarification is required, diagnostic tests may form part of the process. These tests may consist of interviews and questionnaires, which help us gain a better understanding of your symptoms and what you need.
Based on this, we will work with you to determine the next steps that are appropriate for your situation. This may involve treatment, a combined programme of assessment and treatment, or advice on other suitable support.
In any case, you can count on:
- personalised attention to your situation and your request for help;
- an approach that suits your goals and circumstances;
- space to explore together what is affecting your symptoms;
- a clear explanation of the process and what you can expect;
- collaboration with other healthcare providers at Rondom where this adds value.
Collaboration with other healthcare providers
Mental health issues often do not occur in isolation and can affect several aspects of daily life. That is why our psychologists take a broader view than just the specific issue you come to us with.
Where appropriate, we work together with other healthcare providers from Rondom. Depending on your situation, this could be, for example, a occupational therapist, lifestyle coach, physiotherapist or another practitioner. By combining knowledge and expertise, we provide support that is well suited to your day-to-day life and personal circumstances.
