Sustainability
We believe it is important to take responsibility for the world around us. As a healthcare organisation, we are at the heart of society. That is why we look not only at providing good care today, but also at the long-term consequences of our actions.
For us, sustainability is about people and the environment. It’s about how we work, how we travel, and how we organise our care.
Sustainable employability of healthcare professionals
Good care starts with healthy and motivated healthcare professionals. That is why we invest in a working environment where people can work with pleasure and energy.
We provide:
- Opportunities for development and training
- Focus on workload and work-life balance
- Cooperation and mutual support
By looking after our staff properly, we also look after you properly. Sustainable employability means that our care workers can do their jobs in a healthy way, both now and in the future.

Reducing CO₂ emissions
We operate nationwide, with locations spread across almost the whole of the Netherlands. We do this deliberately. When care is available nearby, you don’t have to travel as far. That’s convenient for you. And better for the environment.
When planning our healthcare professionals’ schedules, we also take travel time and distance into account. We try to organise appointments as much as possible within the region where someone works. In this way, we avoid unnecessary journeys and reduce emissions.
Our nationwide coverage therefore not only helps to ensure that healthcare remains accessible, but also helps to reduce traffic volumes.
Where travel is necessary, we make conscious choices. We encourage the use of smaller and more fuel-efficient cars. In some places, colleagues use electric vehicles or combine appointments to reduce the number of car journeys.
Every kilometre saved counts. By taking a critical look at how and when we travel, we reduce our impact.
Responsible use of materials
In healthcare, we use materials that are necessary to work safely and hygienically. At the same time, we look at ways to prevent waste.
We sort waste wherever possible. We ensure the responsible use of materials. Where possible, we opt for sustainable alternatives. We also make conscious choices when purchasing materials and fitting out our practices, in line with our responsibility towards the environment.
Conscious choices
When selecting materials, we consider not only quality and comfort, but also origin and sustainability. Where possible, we opt for more sustainable materials, such as responsibly produced leather.
We also make conscious choices when selecting suppliers. We prefer to work with organisations that prioritise sustainable production and fair working conditions. Through our own procurement channel, we can steer this process more effectively. And we make conscious choices regarding materials and resources that align with our vision of sustainability.
With an eye to the future
For us, sustainability is not a separate project, but a logical part of how we work. We constantly make conscious choices in the way we organise care, how we travel and what materials we use.
In this way, we aim to contribute to healthcare that is not only good and accessible, but also remains sustainable in the long term. In doing so, we remain mindful of the impact we have on our local community and the environment.
