Reimbursement podiatry basic insurance
Podiatry is covered by basic health insurance if medically necessary care is required to prevent foot ulcers. This may apply to people with diabetes and to those with a diagnosed increased risk of foot ulcers. The podiatrist will assess whether you are eligible for reimbursement. In doing so, the podiatrist follows national guidelines and the agreements with your health insurer.
If your treatment is covered by basic health insurance, you will not have to pay any excess.
No increased risk of foot ulcers?
Has the podiatrist not identified an increased risk of foot injuries? If not, you may be eligible for reimbursement under your supplementary health insurance.
