What is a podiatrist?
A podiatrist at Rondom Podotherapeuten specialises in foot problems and issues arising from posture and movement. Our podiatrists carry out a thorough assessment and devise a suitable solution. This may be a bespoke podiatric insole, or it could be an orthosis or taping. Our podiatrists also treat people with rheumatism or diabetes, sportspeople, those in physically demanding jobs and children with foot problems. In the Netherlands, podiatry has been a legally recognised paramedical profession since 1982. ‘Podiatrist’ is a legally protected title, which may only be used by someone who has completed a bachelor’s degree in podiatry at a university of applied sciences.
