Meet (diabetes) podiatrist Liselot
What is your role and what gives you energy in your work?
Diabetes podiatrist, LRA nail specialist. I get a real buzz from making a difference through small adjustments that have a big impact on a person’s mobility and quality of life.
What is your favourite quote, motto or tip to help people get through life more easily?
Look after your feet; they’ll carry you through life.
How can you tell from your work that it really suits you?
Because I enjoy helping people maintain their mobility and independence. I find it rewarding to use my knowledge to prevent and/or alleviate symptoms and to give people the freedom to continue doing what matters to them.
What do you do outside of work that people might not expect of you?
I love making the most of life – you only live once! Travelling, playing padel, being creative – I love cooking and spending time with friends and family. I enjoy going to festivals and I also like watching football (I’ve always played football myself).
Is there anything else you’d like to share?
No
