Life runs more smoothly.
You probably already know that giving up smoking is good for your health. However, quitting is often not just a matter of willpower. For many people, smoking is linked to specific times of day, relaxation, habits or coping with stress. That is why giving up can be difficult, even if you have wanted to quit for some time.
At the same time, giving up smoking can bring you many benefits. Greater control over your choices. More freedom to live your life without being dependent on a cigarette. More energy and a greater sense that you are in control, rather than the habit. Your body often recovers more quickly than you might think.
With the Rondom Leefstijl Stop Smoking Programme, you don’t have to quit on your own. You’ll receive support from an accredited stop-smoking coach who will work with you to identify what you need to become and remain smoke-free. You set the pace yourself, and together we’ll work on changes that suit your lifestyle.
Would you like to register? You can do so via our appointment scheduler.

With the Stop Smoking Programme, you will receive personalised support to help you give up smoking. We look not only at the moment you stop, but also at the habits, situations and choices that influence your smoking behaviour.
Together, you will work on maintaining motivation, managing temptations, changing habits and preventing relapse. You will draw up a personalised plan to quit and develop new habits that fit in with your daily life.
Throughout the process, we support you by advising, motivating and guiding you, and by offering our input at times when it is difficult to carry on.
The stop smoking programme lasts 3 months and is followed by 1 year of aftercare. During the aftercare period, we’ll keep in touch regularly and support you in maintaining a smoke-free lifestyle. Intensive guidance and longer-term support can help you stick to your decision to stop smoking and reduce the risk of relapse.
The programme includes, amongst other things:

At Rondom Leefstijl, you will be supported by stop-smoking coaches who are also lifestyle coaches. This means we look not only at giving up smoking itself, but also at the factors that influence your smoking behaviour and your ability to maintain a smoke-free lifestyle.
Think, for example, of habits, stress, relaxation, sleep, diet, alcohol, exercise and daily routines. Attention is also paid to weight management whilst giving up smoking and afterwards.
With this broader approach, we support you not only at the point of stopping, but also in developing habits that contribute to lasting change.

Medicines and nicotine-based products can help you give up smoking. They help reduce your craving for cigarettes and can alleviate withdrawal symptoms. There are two types of aids:
Nicotine replacement therapies are aids such as patches, chewing gum or lozenges. These contain a small amount of nicotine, but not the other harmful substances found in tobacco. They come in various forms:
This varies depending on the health insurer and your policy. Sometimes the costs are reimbursed in full or in part, and sometimes not at all. The conditions for reimbursement may also differ from one health insurer to another. We will provide you with as much information as possible about reimbursement before the programme starts. Are you unsure about your reimbursement? If so, please contact your health insurer and check your policy. That way, you can be sure which reimbursement applies to your situation.
A support tool alone is often not enough to enable you to give up smoking for good. Changing habits and behaviour plays an important role.
That is why, as part of our Stop Smoking Programme, you will receive support from a coach. In many cases, your health insurer will only reimburse the cost of aids if you are also taking part in the Stop Smoking Programme.
Usually, yes, but in some situations extra caution is needed. For example, if you are pregnant, have heart problems or high blood pressure.
You should therefore always discuss with your doctor whether smoking cessation aids are suitable for your situation.
Together with your coach, you will discuss which support tools you would like to use and what is best suited to your situation.
Your coach will enter this information on a form which you will take to your GP. The GP will then assess whether this option is suitable for you.
There are also medicines that are only available from a GP or specialist. Examples of these include bupropion and varenicline.
These medicines act on the brain. As a result, you may feel less of a need for a cigarette and smoking may feel less pleasant.
During the initial consultation, we will discuss together whether this is suitable for your situation.
