Meet movement scientist, podiatrist Wietske
What is your role and what gives you energy in your work?
I work at Rondom as an all-round podiatrist and functional manager. With my background in human movement science, I feel I have a broader perspective on the whole picture.
I enjoy my work as a podiatrist in my practice because I help people in a creative and innovative way. I treat people with musculoskeletal complaints, focusing on the feet. Because every person is different, my work is always varied and interesting!
What is your favourite quote, motto or tip to help people get on better in life?
Think in terms of possibilities and try to enjoy them!
How can you tell from your work that it really suits you?
The fact that I actually always enjoy going to work and go home feeling fulfilled. Even after all these years of working at Rondom. It’s a lovely place that really makes me happy!
What do you do outside work that people might not expect of you?
Outside of work, I try to do my bit in the village by helping to organise events such as King’s Day, and by serving on the school parents’ council. In this way, I also hope to inspire others to realise that even a small contribution can make a big difference.
