Maintaining a work-life balance
Do you find that your work and private life are constantly overlapping? Perhaps work takes up a lot of your time, whilst home life also demands a lot from you. Or perhaps you try to do everything well, but find that there is little time left for yourself. Maintaining a balance isn’t always easy, especially when pressure comes from all sides. Maintaining a balance between work and private life does not mean that everything is always divided equally. Sometimes work demands more. Sometimes home life demands more. The important thing is that you do not find yourself permanently lacking in rest, attention and energy.

What do you notice?
An imbalance can manifest itself in many ways.
You may, for example, notice that:
- you have little energy left at home;
- you are not letting go of your work properly;
- you have less time for relaxation;
- you are irritable towards those around you;
- you have trouble sleeping;
- you feel you have little space for yourself;
- you cancel appointments because you are too tired;
- if you feel you are falling short in every respect;
- you are always playing catch-up.
Sometimes you only realise how out of balance things are when your symptoms get worse or when you can no longer really enjoy anything.
