Waiting times
We do our best to keep waiting times as short as possible, so that you can be seen as soon as possible.
However, there may be times when you cannot be seen straight away. On this page, you can read more about why waiting times occur, what the current waiting times are and what you can expect.
Why are there waiting times?
Sometimes more people register than there is capacity for intake and treatment at that time. This can result in waiting times.
How long you have to wait varies depending on the situation. This depends, for example, on the number of applications, the availability of psychologists and the type of support required.
We believe it is important to give every client sufficient time and attention. That is why we carefully assess how many clients can start at the same time.
Is the waiting time longer than you’d like? If so, we’ll help you explore alternatives where possible or discuss whether a referral to a colleague’s practice would be appropriate.
Current waiting times
Below you can see the approximate time currently between your registration and the intake appointment.
- Children and young people: 16 weeks
- Adults: 4 weeks
At present, there is no waiting period between the initial assessment and the start of treatment. If treatment is appropriate, we will schedule your first treatment appointment immediately after your initial assessment.
