Dongen, 21 October 2025 — After sixteen years, founders Nel Koekkoek and Luce Terwindt are handing over their practice in good faith with effect from 1 October 2025. The practice will continue under new ownership under the familiar name Koekkoek & Co Psychologie. The new owners all have extensive experience in the healthcare sector, both as practitioners and in supporting healthcare providers, ensuring they can be fully present for clients whilst all administrative matters are properly managed. With a fresh new management team that enjoys broad support, we are ensuring continuity and future-proofing. Between August and December 2025, we will be working closely together to ensure a smooth handover.
Who are we here for?
Koekkoek & Co Psychologie is here to support children, young people and adults experiencing, amongst other things, anxiety and mood disorders, trauma and bereavement, stress and burnout, (work-related) pressure and perfectionism, attention and developmental issues (such as AD(H)D and ASD), unexplained physical symptoms, relationship and family issues, and identity and life-stage issues. We offer individual therapy, couple and family counselling and, where appropriate, involve the client’s support network and the referring professional.
Approach
What makes us special remains unchanged: a systemic, experiential approach to working that makes use of nature, horses, dogs and materials. At the same time, proven effective treatment methods such as cognitive behavioural therapy, EMDR and ACT form the basis. Your trusted practitioner will remain your regular point of contact; ongoing treatment plans will continue.
Accessibility & reimbursements
Historically, there were contracts with VGZ and CZ. We are currently finalising contracts with all health insurers to ensure that care remains accessible regardless of the policy held. As soon as this is finalised, we will inform clients and referrers via our usual channels. Do you have any questions about reimbursement or your excess? Please feel free to get in touch; we are here to help.
Waiting list & growth
We are fully committed to keeping waiting times as short as possible. In view of the increasing demand, we are looking into expanding our capacity and services, without compromising on quality or personal attention.
