Fontys
We work with Fontys both as a research partner and an educational partner. It is an intensive and structured collaboration in which practice, research and education come together. In this way, we strengthen one another and work towards the development of healthcare.

Research and innovation
In this collaboration, Rondom brings practical experience to the table: we share our observations from the healthcare sector and work with real-world data. We also provide an environment in which new ideas and applications can be tested. Fontys focuses on practice-oriented research, research methodology and (technological) development. In this way, we complement each other well.
An example is the collaboration on the Diabetes Foot Check App. In this project, we are working together on digital applications for people with diabetes. We are also looking at how people use these in their daily lives. Furthermore, we are focusing on artificial intelligence, digital triage and the sustainable implementation of healthcare technology. By focusing on these areas, we are helping to ensure that healthcare continues to innovate and remains closely aligned with real-world practice.
Education and practice
As part of this partnership, Rondom offers work placements and supervision to Fontys students. We use real-life healthcare scenarios so that students can learn in an environment that reflects their future work. Students also contribute to research and projects.
Fontys brings in new knowledge and insights from education and research. This takes place through work placements, final-year research projects and other projects. Researchers (lecturers) at Fontys also conduct research into topics such as health, technology and behaviour. Rondom complements this with practical knowledge. We apply these new insights in our care provision. In this way, education, research and practice reinforce one another.
