Diabeter
Together with Stichting Diabeter, we form a broad partnership in type 1 diabetes. This collaboration focuses on supporting people with diabetes, with an emphasis on preventing symptoms and maintaining good health in everyday life.
Diabeter is a specialist treatment centre for people with type 1 diabetes. With four centres in the Netherlands and a team of around 130 staff, Diabeter provides care, support and education to people with diabetes. Personalised care, innovation and the use of new technology are central to this.
Care and daily life
Diabeter provides specialist knowledge on type 1 diabetes and the associated medical treatment. Rondom complements this with expertise in foot care, lifestyle and mental health support. This creates a comprehensive approach that is tailored to everyday life.
We support people in various ways. For example, through podiatry services, such as foot checks and advice on footwear. We also offer lifestyle programmes focusing on exercise and nutrition, specifically for people with type 1 diabetes.
In this way, we help to identify symptoms early on and to stay healthy and active.
Research and development
As part of this partnership, we are also collaborating on scientific research. We are investigating how healthcare can be better aligned with everyday life, and what helps people with diabetes to stay healthy for longer.
Together, we explore new insights to keep improving our care.
