Journal article: implementation of skin temperature measurements in people with diabetes at home to prevent foot ulcers
- Date:
- September 2025

In short
Previous research has shown that temperature measurement offers added value in the prevention of foot ulcers in people with diabetes. Within the HOMELAND academic workplace, our colleagues Danique van Gulick and Stephan Marsman are working alongside other researchers on a practice-oriented project investigating how these measurements can best be applied in the home setting.
An article on the first phase of this project recently appeared in WCS Nieuws. This project investigated the requirements that a measurement tool must meet and selected the most promising tools.
