Foot problems associated with cancer
During or after cancer treatment, you may experience symptoms affecting your feet. You may notice that your skin becomes more sensitive, your nails change, or that walking feels less comfortable than you are used to.
Cancer treatment can affect the skin, nails and sensation in the feet. As a result, the feet may react differently than they did before treatment. Good foot care and regular checks are therefore particularly important.

What is it?
Foot problems associated with cancer often arise as a result of cancer treatment. Some treatments can affect the skin, nails, nerves and the body’s immune system.
This can make the feet more sensitive to pressure, cuts and irritation. The skin and nails may also change or be less able to heal.
Not everyone experiences the same symptoms. The nature and severity of the symptoms vary depending on the treatment and the individual.
