Pain on the inside of the big toe joint
This is also known as Joplin’s neuroma. Joplin’s neuroma is a nerve pain on the inner side of the big toe joint. It is caused by the nerve running there becoming pinched.
If you experience radiating pain or a ‘numb’ sensation on the inside of your big toe, you can see a podiatrist.
Here, the cause is addressed by means of (usually) corrective podiatric insoles. Depending on the extent of damage to the nervous system, the expected outcome is reasonable to good.
