Pain caused by a possible bone tumour
Pain in a leg is usually caused by something harmless, such as overexertion or an injury. These symptoms often go away on their own. If the pain persists, feels different from what you are used to, or you cannot properly explain where the symptoms are coming from, this may cause uncertainty or raise questions.
Very occasionally, pain in or around a bone may have another cause. Bone tumours are rare. However, it is important to take symptoms that do not fit with normal recovery seriously and to have them assessed by a doctor.

What is it?
A bone tumour is a growth in or around a bone. It may be benign or malignant. Only a doctor can determine the cause of the symptoms.
Our podiatrists We do not treat bone tumours. However, we can recognise signs that indicate a need for further medical investigation. We can also provide support later on with walking or physical activity, provided this is medically safe.
