Webinar: Maintaining independence with high-risk feet – How can occupational therapy help you?
Do you have high-risk feet, or do you look after someone with high-risk feet? If so, you’ll know that foot problems can affect your daily life. Walking, standing, going shopping or doing household chores can become more difficult, whilst it’s actually important to remain as safe and active as possible. During this webinar, the occupational therapist will explain how you can adapt your daily activities to put less strain on your feet and maintain your independence. You’ll receive practical tips on managing your energy, moving safely, using assistive devices and preventing overexertion. Attention will also be given to the role of carers and how they can provide support without taking on unnecessary tasks. Afterwards, you’ll have a better understanding of what occupational therapy can do for you and will go home with practical advice that you can apply straight away in your daily life.
