What is your role and what gives you energy in your work?

I am the Service Centre Department Manager at our secretariat.

I get a huge boost of energy when, together with our team, I can ensure that all the work carried out by the secretariat really does ‘run smoothly’.

As a team, we get a huge boost when we can get through a mountain of work in a friendly atmosphere and also be there for one another. To me, it feels like one big family.

What is your favourite quote, motto or tip to help people get through life more easily?

‘The secret of getting ahead is getting started.’

How can you tell from your work that it really suits you?

My parents taught us from a young age to work collaboratively at all times. Because only together can we ensure that life really does ‘run smoothly’.

That is therefore my most important task: to ensure that I am there for my colleagues in every respect.

If I manage to do that, it gives me a sense of satisfaction and makes me feel highly motivated to carry on in the same way.

What do you do outside of work that people might not expect of you?

I tell my colleagues everything – I don’t think there’ll be any surprises, ha ha!!!
