Education and practice

Saxion students gain practical experience at Rondom, for example through work placements or as student workers. The students deal with real-life situations in healthcare and learn how to examine and treat clients.

This enables students to apply their knowledge immediately and develop skills suited to working as healthcare professionals. At the same time, they learn how collaboration between different forms of care works in practice.

For Rondom, this means we make contact with future talent at an early stage. We mentor students and show them how we work. In this way, we ensure that education and work are well aligned.

Developing together

Research also plays a part in this collaboration. Practical questions often form the basis for research at Saxion. For example, students carry out their final-year research projects at Rondom. Rondom can then apply the findings of these research projects in practice. This enables us to continue learning and improving. At the same time, these insights are incorporated back into our teaching.

Also the Podiatry Research Group, which is affiliated with Saxion, is a key partner for Rondom in this regard. Together, we are working on research that translates practical questions into new insights for the profession.

Through this collaboration, education, research and clinical practice remain interconnected. In this way, we contribute together to the development of the profession of podiatry. And also to ensuring that care continues to meet the needs of clients.
