Colleagues undergoing training to carry out PMOs
A number of our colleagues are attending a training course as part of Preventive Medical Examinations (PMOs). The training was delivered by our lifestyle coach Fabian Rood and is the first of two mornings during which colleagues are being trained to carry out Preventive Medical Examinations (PMEs) at companies that collaborate with Rondom in Bedrijf.

A number of our colleagues are taking part in a training course as part of Preventive Medical Examinations (PMEs). The training was provided by our lifestyle coach Fabian Rood and is the first of two mornings during which colleagues are trained to carry out Preventive Medical Examinations (PMEs) at companies that collaborate with Rondom in Business. At Rondom in Bedrijf, we help organisations gain insight into the health and employability of their staff, taking into account physical, mental and social factors.
During a PMO, employees gain insight into their health, vitality and resilience. The aim is not only to identify issues, but above all to help people in good time to prevent or reduce symptoms. Using the insights gained, staff can take action themselves via the Rondom in Bedrijf app, or arrange for further investigations if necessary. In this way, PMOs contribute to sustainable employability and a healthier workplace.
During the training, colleagues were first given an explanation of the background and structure of the PMO. They then set to work themselves on the various tests. By practising these with one another, they not only became thoroughly familiar with the tests, but also learnt how to give clear instructions, how to explain results and how to guide someone in a pleasant manner.
Both our lifestyle coaches and occupational therapists are taking part in these skills training sessions and will be delivering the PMOs in the near future, as both healthcare professionals have experience in the field of lifestyle and behavioural change. Furthermore, demand for PMOs is increasing, and we wish to ensure we have a sufficient number of trained staff who are versatile. The training also earns accreditation points for the quality register, which contributes to ongoing professional development.
By sharing knowledge, practising together and continuing to invest in quality, we are making preventive care increasingly accessible and helping life run more smoothly!
