More about me
What is your role and what gives you energy in your work?
As a medical pedicurist, I help people keep their feet healthy, prevent problems and continue to move comfortably. I draw energy from my personal contact with patients and from the difference I can make. Seeing a patient leave with less pain and a smile on their face gives me a sense of fulfilment every single day.
What is your favourite quote, motto or tip to help people get through life more easily?
"Your feet are in good hands with me!"
How can you tell from your work that it really suits you?
From the conversations that arise and the trust that patients place in me, I can tell that this work really suits me. I think it’s important that people feel heard and at ease. The combination of care, attention and professional expertise is perfectly in line with who I am.
What do you do outside of work that people might not expect of you?
Outside of work, I enjoy being creative. Writing, developing new ideas that can help or inspire people – starting with our own family. Such as looking at nutrition in a playful way and discovering it, having positive experiences with food – often intuitively – and reading aloud. I also act as a volunteer minute-taker for the Supervisory Board at my daughter’s primary school.
Is there anything else you’d like to share?
After nearly 25 years in the profession, I am still grateful every day to be able to practise this wonderful profession. My aim remains the same: to help people continue to stay active for longer, more comfortably and with greater enjoyment.
