Quality and safety in podiatry and chiropody care
We believe it is important that you can rely on good, safe care. That is why we are working in various ways to ensure quality and continue to develop.
Quality requirements
Our podiatrists and chiropodists meet the quality standards required in their respective fields. They have the appropriate training, qualifications and expertise to provide safe and responsible care.
Podiatrists
All our podiatrists have completed a higher professional education (HBO) degree in Podiatry and are registered with the Paramedics’ Quality Register. This means that they demonstrably keep their knowledge and skills up to date and work in accordance with established guidelines and quality standards.
In addition, every podiatrist has their own healthcare provider code (AGB code). This code can be used to submit claims for treatment to the health insurer.
Pedicures
Our pedicurists are trained as medical pedicurists and are registered in ProCERT’s Quality Register for Pedicurists. To remain registered, they actively maintain their professional knowledge and skills and regularly undertake further training and refresher courses.
Our pedicurists also work in accordance with established agreements, guidelines and quality standards that are consistent with professional and safe pedicure care.
Registration and professional associations
Our healthcare professionals work in accordance with the guidelines and quality standards of their own professional bodies.
Podiatrists
Our podiatrists comply with the rules of the Dutch Association of Podiatrists (NVvP). This association sets requirements regarding the quality of care, the layout of the practice, working methods and the careful handling of data.
Pedicures
Our medical pedicurists work in accordance with the professional code of conduct and specialist guidelines relating to medical pedicure care. They also follow the applicable hygiene and safety guidelines within the profession.
This means you can count on safe and expert care.

Legislation and quality assurance
Our healthcare professionals work in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, professional guidelines and quality requirements within their field. In doing so, we adhere, amongst other things, to the requirements set out in the Healthcare Quality, Complaints and Disputes Act (Wkkgz), which sets out how we ensure responsible care and handle complaints with due care.
Hygiene and infection prevention are an important part of our daily practice. That is why we work in accordance with the applicable guidelines and agreements on safe and hygienic working practices within the practice.
In addition, for podiatrists, the title podiatrist is legally protected under Article 34 of the BIG Act. Only healthcare professionals with recognised qualifications may use this title.
Training and development
Our podiatrists and chiropodists are constantly developing their skills. They regularly attend refresher and further training courses to keep their knowledge up to date and to deepen their expertise.
They also take part in peer consultations and share knowledge and experiences with colleagues. In this way, we continue to work in line with the latest insights and maintain the quality of our care.
Our podiatrists and chiropodists work closely together. The podiatrists are involved in the treatment plan and are always available for consultation. This means they can contribute their expertise when questions arise or situations require it.
Quality in practice
At a practical level, too, we work in accordance with established quality standards and professional guidelines. Our practice locations have been awarded the Praktijkkeurmerk quality mark. This quality mark demonstrates that our quality policy is sound and that we meet the requirements for good care.
In both podiatry and chiropody, we pay close attention to:
- hygiene and infection prevention;
- patient safety;
- careful record-keeping;
- professional collaboration;
- the continuous improvement of our care processes.
Our approach is based on professional guidelines from the field and current scientific insights.
