Through the Postcode Lottery guide and app, we offer, in collaboration with the Diabetes Fund, a foot screening with a 50 per cent discount (for €19.95 instead of €39.95). This is suitable for people with and without diabetes, as walking and keeping active are important for everyone.

Problems with your feet, such as abnormal foot alignment or an incorrect gait, can lead to wear and tear not only in your feet but also in your knees, hips and back in the future. When your feet are functioning properly, your whole body can cope with greater strain. That is why, even if you have no symptoms, it is never a bad idea to have your foot alignment and gait checked preventatively by a podiatrist. Think of it as a preventive check-up at the dentist! The Diabetes Fund and Rondom Podotherapeuten are therefore offering this foot screening at a discounted rate.
Are you insured for podiatry?
Podiatry care is covered by the insurer. If this is included in your supplementary cover, the bill for the foot screening, amounting to €19.95, will be sent to your health insurer. Read more about the reimbursement. Do you not have supplementary insurance? You will receive the invoice for €19.95 by email once the foot screening has been completed.
What does a foot screening involve?
- A quick 20-minute check;
- Check foot position and posture;
- Mapping walking patterns;
- Browse shoes;
- After the screening, the podiatrist will tell you about the condition of your feet and whether a full foot examination or further treatment is recommended.
After the foot screening
If, following the foot screening, further investigation or treatment – such as podiatric insoles – is required, In that case, the €19.95 charge for the foot screening will be waived and, if you agree to the further examination or the proposed treatment, you will receive a €19.95 discount on the final fee. Sometimes it is possible to offer you the additional examination or the proposed treatment immediately after the foot screening. If this is not the case, a new appointment will be scheduled.

Rondom Podotherapeuten and the Diabetes Fund have been working together since 2019, with the aim of improving the quality of life of people with diabetes by preventing or treating foot complications.
