Podiatry Research Group
We collaborate with the Podiatry Research Group as a research partner. This collaboration focuses on practical application. Questions arising from the field of practice form the starting point for research. In this way, we work together to build knowledge that is directly applicable in podiatric care.

Practice and research linked
Questions arise in day-to-day care. For example, about what the best approach is, or how treatments can be better substantiated.
These questions are being explored in greater depth in collaboration with researchers, lecturers and students. Rondom provides practical expertise and an environment in which research can take place. The research group is responsible for designing and carrying out the research.
The collaboration is nationwide and brings together several parties. For example, universities of applied sciences and the Professional Association for Podiatrists (NVvP). This creates a broad base of knowledge and experience. Students also play a major role. They participate in research and contribute to innovation in the field of podiatry.
From insight to application
The findings of the research do not remain on paper. They are translated into practice and education. Examples include changes to working methods, resources for healthcare providers or new guidelines. Rondom applies these insights in practice, and we examine what this means for the client. In this way, practice and research reinforce one another.
This approach helps to further develop the profession of podiatry and provide a stronger theoretical basis for it. This helps to maintain high standards of care and ensure it meets clients’ needs.
