Meet podiatrist Marije
What is your role and what gives you energy in your work?
The great thing about being a podiatrist is that no two days are the same. This variety keeps the work challenging and interesting. However, what I enjoy most is helping people. Working together to find a solution, so that someone can walk better again and experience fewer symptoms, is very rewarding. I also find personal contact with patients very important.
What is your favourite quote, motto or tip to help people get through life more easily?
/
How can you tell from your work that it really suits you?
Podiatry suits me well because I enjoy working with people and find it important to help others. I find it very rewarding to support patients in reducing their symptoms and increasing their freedom of movement, so that they can walk comfortably through life once again. Furthermore, I am very drawn to the variety within the profession, as no two days are ever the same. The combination of personalised care, interaction with patients and finding suitable solutions makes podiatry a profession that aligns well with my interests and strengths.
