Improving quality and safety
Our occupational therapists use their expertise to improve the safety of residents and healthcare professionals. In doing so, we look, for example, at falls and physical strain in the workplace.
By taking a preventative approach to safety and quality, problems can be avoided and costs and additional work kept to a minimum.
Falls
A fall often has serious consequences. For residents, a fall can lead to injury, a loss of independence and a longer recovery period. For organisations, a fall often results in additional care, increased supervision and higher costs.
Older people living in care homes fall about three times as often as their peers who live independently at home. This affects around 190,000 older people every year. This not only affects residents’ quality of life, but also puts pressure on care teams and increases costs within organisations.
Our occupational therapists support healthcare organisations in preventing falls and improving safety within the organisation.
Physical or mental strain
Physical and mental strain is common in the healthcare sector. This contributes to absenteeism and affects staff job satisfaction.
Rondom’s occupational therapists carry out workplace assessments and provide practical and ergonomic advice. In addition, they can set up support programmes at organisational level, departmental level or for individual staff members.
The support is always tailored to the situation and needs of your organisation.
