Getting stuck with everyday tasks
Have you noticed that you’re finding it increasingly difficult to carry out everyday tasks? Perhaps the washing-up is piling up, or you can’t seem to get round to your paperwork. Or does getting dressed, cooking or going to the shops take up too much energy? You know what needs to be done, but you still find it hard to get started. This can cause a great deal of frustration and embarrassment.
Struggling with everyday tasks does not mean you are not motivated. Often, there is more to it than that. Pain, tiredness, stress, sensory overload or a lack of perspective can make even small tasks feel overwhelming.

What do you notice?
A system crash can manifest itself in various ways.
You may, for example, notice that:
- you don’t know where to start;
- tasks remain undone;
- you put off for a long time;
- you stop halfway because you are tired;
- you lose track of the overview;
- you get angry or upset over little things;
- you refuse help, even though you need it;
- you feel ashamed of what you cannot do;
